Are we missing one? We of course try to capture as many starts and finishes as possible, but that can be tricky. If there’s a store worth listing in a future update, feel free to drop us a line and we’ll consider it for a future review.
Roger and Rod’s barbershop closed in July after 58 years of operation. Located at 36232 Five Mile, the store is known for its casual barbershop vibe and souvenir wall. There have been many tourists here over the years, and one in particular: Muhammad Ali visited the store decades ago when he was in the area.
Last month, another longtime business also closed its doors: the Old Mexican restaurant, which serves up the latest in a former home at 28407 Five Mile. The restaurant served Mexican cuisine for 45 years until its owners decided to retire and close in July.
