Heat and Control® Inc. introduces the latest version of its FastBack® 4.0 horizontal motion technology. Since its introduction in 1995, FastBack conveyor technology has provided food processors with virtually no product breakage or damage, no loss of coating or seasoning, significant reductions in sanitation and associated downtime, and trouble-free operations.
FastBack 4.0 is the result of over a decade of development and several international patents. Fastback 4.0 retains all the known benefits of previous generations of Fastback pipelines, including the following features:
FastBack 4.0 is a horizontal motion conveyor with circular and linear drive, which is a new solution for horizontal motion conveying. A key design feature is a rotary (circular) drive that provides horizontal (linear) movement. The efficiency of the circular to linear drive converts rotational motion into pure horizontal motion and also supports the vertical weight of the pan.
When developing FastBack 4.0, Heat and Control worked with industrial bearing manufacturer SKF to develop a precise, customized application. With an extensive manufacturing network, SKF is able to meet heating and control targets worldwide.
FastBack 4.0 is smaller and thinner than previous versions, allowing the conveyor to adapt to different locations. Fastback 4.0 also reverses instantly for better product control and has an ultra-quiet 70dB range. In addition, the Fastback 4.0 has no pinch points or moving arms to hide and protect and delivers faster travel speeds than any other horizontal motion conveyor.
Designed with user feedback in mind, FastBack 4.0 eliminates the challenges that line managers and operators often face when it comes to maintenance, cleaning and productivity. This conveyor reduces downtime and delivers the highest levels of uptime with the least amount of effort.
The FastBack 4.0 series is represented by the FastBack 4.0 (100) model for weighers and other applications where the FastBack 90E was previously used. FastBack 4.0 (100) is the first version of the FastBack 4.0 design with more capacity and size options coming soon.
