Smart technologies and new material handling solutions open up new perspectives for heavy-duty laundries. We invite you to explore these new perspectives at JENSEN booth 506 and exchange ideas with our laundry experts from around the world on how JENSEN technology can make your laundry a success in the future.
Our investments in laundry robots, artificial intelligence and big data confirm our vision of automating all processes in laundries.
We are pleased to present you the new THOR robot developed by our partner Inwatec. THOR automatically separates all dirty items including T-shirts, uniforms, towels and sheets. Depending on the product size, THOR can process up to 1500 products per hour. Automatic separation improves employee health and safety by reducing the risk of injury and infection. Most importantly, the device is also safe. Robots pick laundry off a conveyor belt and deliver it to an x-ray scanner that detects unwanted items hidden in pockets. At the same time, the RFID chip reader records the clothes and determines the further classification in the system. All these tasks can now be performed by a small number of operators who simply empty the pockets of discarded clothing. The new THOR makes it impossible to distinguish between bedding and clothes.
Several laundromats around the world have pioneered their field by automating soil sorting with Inwatec robots.
At the JENSEN booth, visitors will see a live demonstration of THOR with a Futrail cycle that bulk loads contaminated systems to increase laundry capacity and free up floor space. This new hybrid sorting solution is fully automated, hands-free and allows the operator to sort for higher volume.
Large volumes require large machines. The new XR dryer will process large cakes up to 51 inches in diameter. The wider opening also allows you to unload your laundry faster, saving 10-20 seconds per load: thanks to the new AirWave feature, your laundry can handle more loads in one shift. AirWave also speeds up the post-processing process with its unique tangle-free blowing feature. XFlow provides a 10-15% increase in evaporation power across the entire width of the combustion chamber and optimizes heat distribution for an even and fast drying process. XR InfraCare’s precise and measured temperature control reduces energy consumption and drying time, extending the life of your laundry. The control system detects different weight and residual moisture, avoiding unnecessary power consumption and long drying times. The new XR dryer is planned to be the new Xpert in drying technology, delivering astonishing time and energy savings.
In the finishing section, the new Express Pro feeder will double the PPOH in laundries processing laundry from the healthcare, hospitality, and food & beverage sectors. In the finishing section, the new Express Pro Feeder will double the PPOH in laundries processing linens for the healthcare, hospitality, food and beverage industries. In the finishing section, the new Express Pro dispenser will double the PPOH for healthcare, hospitality, food and beverage laundries. This is a cornerless feed system that works great at high speeds. The vacuum section is replaced by a mechanical transmission beam with leading edge retaining bars. In the receive position, the retaining bar is open and the leading edge is held between the transfer beam and the fixed tube. During the transfer process, the holding arm is closed, allowing fast and efficient transfer to the machine. Thanks to the large capacity, the number of ironing cords can be reduced to make room for other equipment.
The new KliQ feeder is available in a simplified version with new generation feed clamps, a masterpiece of operator convenience. This simple and compact solution offers a direct feed Concorde head, eliminating the need for an entry table on the ironer. Both feeders feature a high and uniform finish quality and high output.
At the JENSEN booth, the KliQ and Express Pro feeders are combined with the new Kando folder, also a much-wanted innovation for laundries serving the healthcare, hospitality and food & beverage sectors. At the JENSEN booth, the KliQ and Express Pro feeders are combined with the new Kando folder, also a much-wanted innovation for laundries serving the healthcare, hospitality and food & beverage sectors. At the JENSEN booth, KliQ and Express Pro feeders are combined with the new Kando folding device, which is also a welcome innovation for healthcare, hospitality, and food and beverage laundries. At the JENSEN stand, the KliQ and Express Pro feeders were combined with the new Kando folding device, a much-needed innovation for laundromats serving the healthcare, hospitality, food and beverage industries. Building on the DNA of the JENSEN series of folding machines, Kando uses a fully adjustable jet pressure in the cross-fold section and a reverse conveyor belt in the cross-fold section, ensuring the best folding quality for all types of flat products. Inverter motors for the side and side fold sections allow the folder to move at the speed of any ironer. Kando performs all types of flat work with optimal speed and high quality. Compact linear stackers minimize footprint, freeing up space for other equipment. Kando folders are the perfect solution to replace existing Classic folders as the overall length matches the tested Classic folders.
The new Fox 1200 Garment Folder also embodies the highest quality high-speed folding, a proven machine concept for a wide range of garments and uniforms. Using a new servo motor at the hanger exit and a new conveyor belt at the first cross fold, the Fox 1200 can process up to 1200 garments per hour in mixed production. The new cross-fold design and updated software ensure superior folding quality. In addition, this new cross-folded section is ideal for materials of various thicknesses. The servo-powered hanger transfers clothes safely and quickly from the Metricon conveyor system to the Fox folder.
Metricon Garment Handling and Sorting Systems is proud to introduce the new MetriQ loading station. With unique “button front” options such as gowns and patient gowns, all types of clothing can be loaded by moving them to the other side without wasting time. MetriQ offers the widest range of loading heights in the industry, making it the most ergonomic loading station for maximum productivity. MetriQ saves space: five MetriQs fit into four conventional loading stations.
Another highlight will be our new GeniusFlow solution, which “connects clothes together” and demonstrates how smart technology can increase productivity: sorting robots transmit recorded data from the dirty side to the clothes sorting area in real time. Using this information from the tag readings, the Metricon software bundles the various clients and routes into packages and subpackages, and then allocates the exact space needed in main memory. This reduces the need for additional rails and prevents high extraction rates that reduce the efficiency of the sorter. The interface makes it easier to manage batches of garments and reduce the number of items that need to be processed manually after production.
Other exhibits include efficient toilet solutions and finishing sections for all types of laundry. In the exhibition area there will be information stands demonstrating our services. Our factory-trained JENSEN engineers in the US and Canada enhance the security of your investment. JENSEN provides high-quality after-sales service for all customers, including fast spare parts supply, online diagnostics and support, and after-hours phone support.
“We are thrilled to be back at the show for the first time in three years and look forward to meeting our customers and industry peers,” said Simon Neild, president of JENSEN USA.
